Update via London

Hello! Well I made it across the pond safe and sound! I've been here a week and am just enjoying myself. My group is just lovely and so much fun. Weve explored several spots, from Westminster (yes I stood where Kate did) to a behind the scenes tour at the natural history museum. There I saw a 40 foot giant squid and some of Charles Darwins original findings from 1800. It was pretty cool! This weekend we spent some time in the outdoor markets. Today was Camden and Portebello. I loooved Portebello. Such fun quirky shops. Tonight we went to a pub to watch the Chelsea game. I love how into football everyone here is! This week we also went to Cambridge. It was here that we experience the extremes of English weather. Literally my dear friends, it went from sunshine to hailing in lightening speed. The city itself was very quaint, with plenty of colleges to check out. We toured the inside of King's College chapel, which was magnificent with all the stained glass. This week is a little bit more slow paced. So hopefully more shops, and another adventure to Harrods! Cheers!

Cheers!

The time has FINALLY arrived. My bags are all mostly packed, and I'm all set to jet across the ocean. I will be studying the history of psychology and visiting several famous sites while abroad. Including a day trip to Darwin's house, Cambridge, and several museums around London. Next weekend I'll be taking a train to Paris!! Eeeep!! I couldn't be more excited. I hope to update some while away, but if not there will be full recaps when I return, no worries!!
And now I must leave you with some of my favorite images from my Pinterest boards.

Kate Spade Flats

Hi y'all!!

Shew what a whirlwind these past weeks have been!! I've been meaning to share, and have finally gotten around to it! I won these darling Kate Spade Elina flats a few weeks ago from Classy Girls Wear Pearls! I was so excited when they were deposited into my mailbox. They came in the most precious wrapping, as all things Kate Spade do!!

I had the funnest time wearing them while touring a nursing school. I paired the gold flats with a black and gold paisley dress from J. Crew.

They went so well today and I looked the little sparkle the shoes had to them! Thanks to Classy Girls Wear Pearls for hosting the giveaway!!

Heres a better view of them ;-)

Cheers to you and yours!!

Easter Recap

Easter was pure bliss!! On Friday afternoon I arrived home and spent some time with my wonderful parents. Later that evening my boy finally rolled into town and we got to see each other briefly before he had to scadaddle for a family dinner function thing. On Saturday we had such a fun time! We woke up early, and went to the matinee of Mirror Mirror. And we were probably the only ones above age 5 that was not a parent. ha! But totally okay, the movie was cute, and Julia Roberts is amazing. After we met up with his mom for some lunch, and a trip to the Verizon store. (Someone, him not me, smashed their iphone..oopis) We then spent the rest of the afternoon at the park. We had our best intentions to feed the little duckies with some bread, well turned out so was every other person living in town. Needless to say the ducks were fat and happy by the time we arrived and wouldn't have anything to do with our break. :( sad day. so we donated our bread to some cute little girls. Then it was time for some afternoon napping.

Saturday night we got to have a wonderful dinner with my parents and my brother. Before dinner we had a friendly game of cornhole. I love playing! However I still need some practice. I did hold my own though! ;) Dinner was marvelous and we just spent time cuddling and watching a movie.

Sunday was a beautiful day of celebrating our resurrected Savior!! The service was great, and the afternoon was spent just enjoying family. We had a "friendly" Easter egg hunt that evening, unfortunately I didn't win. :( Oh well.

Monday was super fun for me. I got to check out a future a nursing school. I met with a friend who teaches graduate courses there. We toured the school, met with the dean, and chatted with various instructors. I really liked the school and we will see where the Lord takes me in my journey. I think I've recapped everything now! :)

Happy Tuesday!!

Post Spring Break Recap

Okay yall, time for me to play catch up!! I haven't had a moment to write, but have kept a long list of things to blog about. So finally I can get back into my groove!!

After spring break I had a seriously rough rough rough patch. It was terrible. From finding out about a death of a friend, to not being accepted into what I wanted, to just terrible life things. It was definitely a dark hole for me. I was so thankful to have my best friend and sweet boyfriend there to support me through all of this time, I would have been more miserable without them. Laughter was definitely key into helping me heal.

But anyways, between spring break and Easter we celebrated the first 21st birthday out of our apartment for the year! It was so exciting! I also finally made it to one of my friend's fraternitiy's parties. A group of my friends got together last year and created our university's BYX Christian fraternity. They have had such success this year and are such a wonderful group of guys to be around. My friend Brooke and I attended their Hawaiian themed party at an awesome venue downtown. The music was funkadelic, and the food was great!

Spring Break Update

I'm on my last night of spring break as I write this, and I'm feeling bittersweet about it. I have loved my time spent at home, relaxing, reading, cooking, & just enjoying my family. However, I think I'm ready to head back to school and tackle these last few weeks I have left. But I would like to give y'all a little update of what I've been doing while at home! :)

The first weekend at home I spent with my man. Trying out sushi and just being lazy.

this was trying sushi for the first time

after church last Sunday..

This weekend I did a little retail therapy. My parents wedding anniversary was yesterday, so we headed off to the mountains. I got a little outlet shopping done, hooray for new spring clothes!! And we dined at this wonderful southern restaurant, Dan'l Boone Inn. I also managed to pick up new Lilly things, including croakies & perfume. I think I'm all set for spring now.

How was your week?! :)
